I'll show you guys on how to Make a Windows 7/8/8.1 USB bootable using command prompt (cmd).

Lets begin,


Open Command Prompt (Go to start menu and type in search box: cmd) If "cmd" appears, right click & select Run as Administrator

First, check the location or source (windows7 DVD or ISO(mounted) drive.

Second, check the destination (4GB recommended- USB pendrive) drive. Or depend on installer size.

Third, in command prompt type:

C:\Windows\system32>diskpart (hit enter)

DISKPART>list disk (hit enter) -to check the drives

DISKPART>select disk 0 (hit enter) to check if its the system drive. Avoid select 0 drive letter.0 means ur system.

DISKPART>detail disk (hit enter) - to view the details of the drive u selected.

DISKPART>select disk 5 (5 means ur USB drive letter, refer on list disk)

DISKPART>clean (hit enter)

DISKPART>create partition primary (hit enter)

DISKPART>select partition 1 (means ur USB drive letter)-just type 1

DISKPART>active (hit enter)

DISKPART>format fs=fat32 (hit enter)

DISKPART>assign (hit enter)

DISKPART>exit (hit enter)




Open NEW comand prompt (cmd)

Open Command Prompt (Go to start menu and type in search box: cmd) If "cmd" appears, right click & select Run as Administrator

In command prompt, type:

C:\Windows\system32>xcopy l:\*.* /s/e/f k:\ (hit enter) - l means win7 installer drive and k means ur USB pendrive.



Note, in the command there are 2 spaces.. between * space / and f space k:\ Now press enter.


That's it!
........seat back and relax....
........wait until finish copy.
........when all files copied completed.


Your now ready to USE!
